User Data Deletion

1. Delete Your Account Instantly (Self-Service)

The fastest way to delete your account and data is to do it yourself:

• Go to the account deletion page at machepos.com/account-deletion (also reachable from the MachePOS app and the web portal at app.machepos.com).
• Sign in with your account email and password.
• Type DELETE to confirm, then choose “Permanently Delete My Account.”
• Your account and all associated business data are permanently deleted. This action cannot be undone.

2. Request Deletion by Email

If you prefer, or cannot sign in, email us to request deletion:

• Email info@machepos.com from the email address associated with your MachePOS account.
• Use the subject line “Data Deletion Request” and include your business name.
• We may ask you to verify ownership of the account before deleting.
• We complete verified email deletion requests within 30 days.

3. What Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

• Account information (business name, owner name, phone number, email, password)
• Business data — products, inventory, pricing, sales and transaction history
• Customer records you stored
• Staff records, roles, and login PINs
• Expenses, purchase orders, and business settings
• Your WhatsApp opt-in and the phone number used for WhatsApp business messaging/summaries

4. What May Be Retained

• Anonymized, aggregated data that no longer identifies you or your business may be retained.
• Limited records we are required to keep for legal, tax, or accounting purposes are retained only for as long as the law requires.
• Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days.

5. Timeline

• Self-service deletion: immediate and permanent.
• Email deletion requests: completed within 30 days of verification.
• Backup purge: within 30 days of deletion.
